Birdathon / Bandathon

Each spring is a new beginning for bird research at Riveredge. Timed to coincide with the peak of the annual spring migration, the Birdathon/Bandathon in mid May marks this new beginning. Using a combination of field observation and mist netting, the object of this 24 hour event is to monitor the diversity, numbers and health of bird populations as they migrate through or recolonize the Riveredge landscape. There’s no better time to get to know the birds or the members of the Riveredge Bird Club.
